This charity, just like the Salvation Army, has always been dedicated to not only helping the poor but restoring lives and dignity to families and individuals.

How do I Qualify for a Used Car?
What’s the Catch?
The catch is, you already have to have a job. Wheels for Work does not give you a car so you can find a job but rather supports people already working to continue to work so they can care for their family.
So, in order to be considered for the program, you must be working and show a history of consistent employment on a full-time job. You will need proof that you are working, and that you need a care in order to keep your job.
Example: If you live in an area where there is no mass transportation, you had a vehicle which is unreliable, or has broken down and not worth repairing. An undependable vehicle can be the cause of you losing your job.
What a nightmare to have to pray that your vehicle starts when you turn the key. These are all legitimate reasons to be considered. If you have a vehicle you are not using, please consider donating it to Wheels to Work.
To qualify for a care you must:
- Have no drug offenses
- Provide proof of residence
- Been working six months to a year
- Not presently have a car registered in your name
- Been working six months to a year on the same job
- You have an up-to-date driver’s license from your state
- Must pass a criminal background check, MVR, and DMV
- Provide proof of income with current W-2 or recent payroll stubs
- Remain working one year after receiving transportation
Every state does not facilitate Wheels to Work, so contact the Goodwill Headquarters in your area to see if this program is available.
