LIHEAP Assistance

You may qualify for these programs if you or someone living in your home receive help from government assistance programs like Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Supplemental Security Income, (SSI) or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).  LIHEAP energy assistance is a grant for disadvantaged families.  You can receive up to $350, to go toward energy and heating bills when you qualify.   Home heating grants help low-income families each year.  Apply here.


Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP)

This Arkansas Utility Bill Assistance program works in conjunction with seven service providers that help to update energy assistance features in qualified homes in 75 counties in Arkansas.  The agencies are Community Action Agencies (CAAs) and other nonprofit community organizations.  

The home weatherization program is designed to help low-income disabled and the elderly. Entergy Arkansas – Energy Bill Assistance

Entergy Arkansas sponsors low-income energy programs that help to lower monthly utility bills. Residents and residential customers may qualify for help. The program helps residential and business customer, you may be eligible for savings and incentives to help you save energy and money.

The Home Energy Solutions Program will review your home to see if it needs energy-saving improvements. Depending on the review you may qualify for free home evaluation. Entergy

The Power to Care program is a program made possible by the support of company employees, customer donations, and private donations. This benefit offers one-time a year energy assistance to chronically ill and elderly Entergy customers. To find out if you are qualified for this low-income benefit program. Call 501-661-0322.

Arkansas Energy Network  (AEN)

They are a regional fuel fund for disadvantaged households.   This energy network works in concert with utility companies, community groups, and non-profits.  The purpose of this group is to provide Winter utility aid to those who need help. If you are low-income, disabled or elderly, you may be able to get the help you need to stay wrap doing the colder months. 

Community Action Agencies

In many counties allow Women with children and teens to apply for assistance with utility bills with an income of up to 2005 of the US poverty guidelines.  A pregnant woman who already receive TANF, SSI or SNAP are automatically eligible for help.

In Arkansas Community Action Agencies utility and groceries.  A large number of the agencies oversee the Head Start program senior centers, substance abuse clinics, and dental care through clinics.  Other programs the facilitate are:
