Get a Home Repair Grant
The U.S.ย government provides grants for home repairs to help low-income families remain in their homes.ย ย ย The program helps vulnerable, disadvantaged homeowners who cannot pay for expensive home repairs to maintain their property.
Families who remain in their homes can be subject to dangerous and unhealthy environments, leading to sickness and other medical problems. Without intervention, the home will fall into disrepair and eventually become uninhabitable.
These homes can become the target of fires, drug use, and squatters and destroy and brings instability to communities.ย ย Free government grants for home repairs help keep already threatened communities from further deterioration. When homes fall apart, neighborhoods decline, businesses leave, and communities are abandoned.

Hello.
My home is made of concrete. In e southeast corner of the house, the concrete blocks are separating and causing cracks on the interior of my home. My foundation has also cracked. I don’t make enough money to pay for the repairs and it’s also causing my light bill to rise dramatically bc the cold air is seeping through the walls. Here in Cocoa, Fla the weather is unbearable and it’s very hot inside the house. Please let me know if you can assist me. Thank you
Hello, Roxanne. The government will not do repairs on a mobile home. Try contacting some of the church charities in your city like the Salvation Army or St. Vincent de Paul Catholic church. Good luck.
I lost my left kidney to cancer in 2002. I just lost 3/4 of my right kidney to cancer in March of 2017. I also had to move my mobile home because the property owner was planning to sell the property for their retirement and I desperately need some weatherization on it because of the move. The so-called gutters on the mobile home need to be replaced and some of them have been pulled loose from the top of the mobile home. It is leaking in several areas. One bad leak is above my window in the living room when it rains it just pours through there and that’s where the air conditioner is at.
About 3 days before I my surgery in March my furnace an AC unit went out. I have a/c’s running right now but it’s going to run my bill up real high.
On that day my car stopped running I do not have the money to fix the car.
There are also other Renovations that need to be done one being where I had a leak from my washing machine into my bedroom carpet since I moved in. A pressure valve started leaking whenever I wash clothes for the first time but I did not know that it was leaking until three days later. It smells like mildew in the bedroom.
I have flooring that I bought that needs to be put down and a living room hallway and a bedroom. The carpet also needs to be removed in the area for the flooring. I moved back into my mobile home on July 10th. Because of the move the top of the mobile home needs to be cool sealed and any leaks repaired.
