Salvation Army Assistance – Arizona.  The Salvation Army is a Christian international organization.  It is presently in 131 nations and has a membership of over 1.7 million workers, volunteers, soldiers, and officers. The Salvation Army is well known for its humanitarian work to help families regardless of race, religion, or creed.

Family Emergency Services

Salvation Army family emergency assistance programs help both families and individuals living with financial lack.  They help by paying bills like utilities, rent, and other mandatory aid to help families stay in their homes and remain stable.  Some who have never had to ask for help come to apply for household assistance.



Salvation Army Assistance provides one-time aid, however, those needing ongoing help are referred to government and community programs that offer long-term help.  You will receive help, when you quality financially, have the proper documentation that proves your financial situation and when funding is available.  These programs help the working poor as well as the unemployed, disabled, and elderly.

Youth Services

Anyone who is a parent wants the best for their children regardless of where you live or your financial status.  However, it is well known that many underserved communities do not have activities to challenge and inspire young people.  The Salvation Army offers Boy and Girl Scout programs as well as the Sunbeams program designed for children ages 5 and up.

These programs help keep children off the street and most of all help them learn their strengths and teach them life skills, moral values, and Christian leadership.  These programs are To provide a safe, organized, faith-based.

Homeless Program (Project Hope)

If you are experiencing homelessness, you have a friend in the Salvation Army.  The goal of Project H.O.P.E. is to offer outreach services to families experiencing homelessness by providing aid with basic needs items, such as food, hygiene, and transportation.



Project Hope is an outreach that works with Maricopa County and the Family Housing Hub (FFH) to reach out to families providing food, transportation, referrals to other services outside of the Salvation Army.  They also offer help in obtaining temporary and permanent housing and help clients needing medical and mental help assistance, including substance abuse.

The Salvation Army Disaster Services

Along with the Red Cross, The Salvation Army is one of the first responders during any disaster.  Their volunteers or first on the scene to asses the needs of the people, to provide food, water, blankets and prayers and assurance they are not alone.

Their response teams coordinate with community organizations, and local authorities to provide temporary security until they can maintain stability.

The Salvation Army’s Network of Emergency Trafficking Program

Human trafficking is a worldwide blight, across the world.  In the last decade or so it has become a major problem all across the United States.  The Salvation Army works within the community to help rescue and bring restoration to the victims of this horrible crime.


The Salvation Army works with foreign and local victims to provide shelter, food, clothing counseling, medical and dental, substance abuse, and childcare.  They provide a holistic approach to help victims become whole and self-sufficient.
