Mississippi Rent Assistance Programs.  If you are facing eviction, there are several rent assistance programs in the state that can help you.  The U.S. government, charities, community organizations, and non-profits help low-income families and individuals maintain their living situation and family stability.  Programs like Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program help disadvantaged families in the state and surrounding areas.

These programs are available to help those with temporary financial setbacks as well as those who need long-term support to become stable.     Without these financial assistance initiatives, many families would not be able to afford these services.  All programs are based on gross family income and are re-evaluated each year to continue to receive services.  If you need help from any of these government programs, please call or visit the agency website.

There is also help for veterans, the disabled and the elderly.  Anyone can have a temporary financial setback.  This is nothing to be ashamed of.  These programs not only help to pay rent but will help with utilities, groceries, furniture, and other things as well.  When you qualify financially, you can get help as long as funding is available.
