Wheels for Work Car Repair Program – Tompkins/Tioga

alt="how to get a used car from goodwill"

Catholic Charities sponsor the Wheels for Work car repair program. Ā They help qualifiedĀ low-income adults with free car repairs. Ā The program presently covers Tompkins and Tioga Counties in New York. Ā This program pays for auto insurance and vehicle repairs.

This program has a limited amount of funding. Ā Owning reliable transportation can make the difference between working or being unemployed. Ā  If you live in areas where public transportation is limited, owning a car is necessary, as many better-paying jobs are in the big city area. Ā

If you are already struggling financially, finding the money for car repairs is impossible. Ā If you have no savings, what do you do? Ā The Wheels for Work program helps eligible residents in Tompkins and Tioga counties with auto repairs.Ā  Everyone needs to be able to work, shop for the family, go to the doctor, and take care of every family’s basic needs.

How the Wheels for Work Program Operates
